It is IMPORTANT to add that, although often controversial, we aggressively campaign against illegal breeding of birds, bird poaching, and the rehoming of rescued birds in exchange for money. We feel in the bird world, this is merely making money from tragic circumstances. We will not adopt out (for a fee) our birds, like so many others do. We, as concerned citizens, are against wanton breeding, we do not breed, but would like to offer our services for conservation. We are available 24 hours a day every day of the year to execute a rescue, provide assistance or advice or to receive a new resident. Our services are free and we are primarily self-funded. We transfer birds for whom special permits are required to the RELEVANT permitted facility, after executing the rescue. We have worked with around 900 abandoned and injured wild birds, rehabilitating those who did survive, albeit they would remain flightless, but still receive care, and a safe lifelong home. The birds have access to humans at all times, love TV, swinging off branches or stripping trees (or furniture, shoes, cell phones) and have piped music during days. These are for imprinted birds, who are not necessarily "rescued" birds, but have been lovingly rehomed with us. We have several goose/duck enclosures, with all necessary amenities.Ģ additional 8.5m x 8m aviaries are daytime playtime aviaries. In order to be able to effectively complete the required new projects, including erecting what have been called the largest free flying aviators for rescued birds in KZN, we desperately need your help!Ģ large projects are in developmental stages, with framework already erected. With over 200 exotic birds and 65 species (many special needs, endangered in the wild, or protected), Fallen Angels has, through sheer determination, passion and concern, overcome many obstacles, some crushing, to bring the facility to its final home, resting place, where the world is to be the oyster of our birds.
